Shield noticeboard features a fire retardant composite core and bonded textile surface, meeting Class 0 standards to BS 476 Parts 6 & 7 and Class B-s1, d0 to BS-EN13501-1: 2002, ideal for corridors, escape routes and public buildings requiring high safety. This top-hinged model includes tamperproof lockable clear doors tested separately for fire resistance to Class 1Y under BS 476 Part 7, with metal stays to hold doors open, perfect for restricted access areas.

The board is covered in red felt, one of 13 available colours including 9 new 'Accents' shades, and comes with a satin silver anodised aluminium frame with rounded safety corners and concealed fixings. Wall fixings are included for secure mounting, and the internal clearance between door and board is 20mm. Available sizes include 600x900, 1200x900 and 1200x1200mm with single doors; larger sizes have double doors. The frame width is 25mm, so the visible display area is reduced by 50mm overall (e. g. 900 x 600mm external size has 850 x 550mm visible area).
